Haha, you pipe down you cheeky monkey. Read the thread back before you start poking your nose in.

Go back 2 years and look what was being said about Dave the last time he had a drop in form.

He’s the best player we’ve ever had and a credit to the football club. He’s earned a little more respect than what’s been afforded to him by some of you.
We ll agree to disagree.
Only just seen your reply by the way ..I presume from last wk..

Anytime he has less than a week of rest, he is not very creative. Everything was slightly behind it's intended receiver today. And that slowed our progression. His movement and creativity slsa suffered. He needs to be fresh these days to have a good game. Otherwise, we are better going with Foden.
Exactly.

Have a horrible feeling David may call it a day this summer, he will go off into the sun with hopefully more medals in his pocket. May explain our surge to bring in Bruno Fernandes unless its just a longer term vision.

He wants to win the CL with City, or at least give it his best shot. That means at least another season after this one.

We have phil and bernie, the Fernandes is for dinho/gundy isn't it?

It would be a cosmic justice for him, Vinnie and Kun to win the CL with us. Shame we couldn't do it this year, if these links with BF are correct, it could mean David might go :(

It's going to be a very sad day when he goes. Model professional, doting father and without doubt one of the most gifted players to have played for our club. He loves everything about City and he has more than done his part in helping us get to where we are and where we are going to. But David is clearly a wise man and he will no doubt see the talent we have, that he has helped to nurture in the likes of Bernardo and young Phil and he may feel that now is the time to hand the baton on and go for a different adventure as he enters the twilight years of his career and it would be completely unfair to deny him that opportunity and City just wouldn't do it. He has given blood, sweat and tears for this club, even making sure he pulled a blue shirt on when his little boy was in a life and death situation, now that my friends is love and dedication to us fans, his teammates and his manager that can never be underestimated. So yes, it will be sad, many will shed a tear, including me, but above anything else, when he does go, I'll be waving him and his family away wishing them luck, love and happiness wherever they may go.

I personally think he would finish his contract before moving on, a truly amazing person in all spheres. Likes of foden have really good role models at City to inspire them.
