Said this months ago....right at the start of the season in fact.Silva is no captain material.I,m getting a bit pissed off now with the long slow goodbye from one of our greatest ever players.We are 19 pts behind in the title race.Foden should have been given the central midfield slot tonight,cos he is not being picked in the league.i really dont know whats going on anymore.im certainly not intrested in legends playing out their careers, at the expense of young ,gifted local talented players like Foden.Doing my head in Pep.Why the fuck is he captain? Silva came on for tactical reasons, and it worked. The difference in control we had over the game after he came on was immense. He dictated the game, despite the horrendous decision to pass to Gundogan. Foden wouldn't have give us the same control because he's a different type of player. You could obviously make an argument that Foden should have started the game, but it was the right decision not to bring him on with the game going as it was.
Stop viewing it ;)It gets worse with every viewing.
He may be one of our best players ever but I hope Pep gives him a rollicking for that.

Yep.In your defence, David had a few of these moments over the years where he's looked really reluctant to have a pop.
Thats why i say ,as good a player as he is not the best footballer to have played for us..not by a long chalk.Attacking midfieders who look to score goals . Colin Bell..left foot right foot header,full volley, on the half volley.
Saying that..his goal scoring record for Spain is pretty impressive. And my fav ever Silva goal will always be the text book header,from quite a way out against scotland,for Spain..in a friendly played at the old Highbury(arsenal) ground i believe.years ago..proper glancing header into the corner.shocked me at the time,didnt think he had that in his locker!!... Anyone viewing that goal could not say David Silva does not have the killer instinct to score.....but ive seen him freeze for City a few times over the years with the goal gaping....utd and arsenal at home...

As good as he's been for us, he shits himself in front of goal. He shat himself when he took his one and only penalty for us, when he rolled it gently into the Southampton keeper's arms.And whatever causes that, Sterling's now caught it.
But what's most frustrating is that sometimes he shows us in a positive way what he is capable of.

He’s a super sub to close games out now, imagine we get to the CL final I’d rather he be on the bench let us be faster paced in attack for 70 mins and then get a couple of goals up bring him on to close the game out, he would be up there with Messi if only he would shoot more, I can’t believe someone of his quality bottles it in front of goal.
