    Was like a blast from the past tonight. Energetic, incisive, nobody finds space like he does. A wonderful reminder of the best midfielder in the PL in the last ten years.

    Forget all the other subjective reasons and other players fanboys' shouts. It's this guy who mostly makes it or breaks it for City. Replacing him is going to be a very very tall order.

    Best game in a long while, which is exactly why we need to play Foden more in the league and save Dave for the more important fixtures. At his best he's still excellent, obviously. He just can't do it every week anymore.

    He played better because he was allowed more space. Him and Gundogan should not start together
