Who is he overtaking?
Basically the only thing he hasn’t won.I hope he achieves a Champions league winners medal for us, which will be the icing on the cake for him. A wonderful player
1 great season from 9 Torres or 2 great seasons from 5 Alonso? Lol. Alonso was a phenomenal player at Madrid, but even then not on a par with Silva at City.Several replies suggested the same.
My personal favourite farcical responses are from (mostly earnest) Liverpool supporters contending either Torres or Xabi Alonso were better.
I am uniquely placed to laugh off those suggestions with supreme certainty.
Hart.Who is he overtaking?
It’s great that we have at least five that could become that. It’s difficult to think that anyone would do it with more grace and professionalism than Dave has though. For me, the greatest player we have had but I believe in time he will be usurped by someone currently playing
Personally, I believe either one of Kev or Bernardo will become that person (atm) I hasten to add. We are blessed with such good young talent, that there, no doubt other candidates along the way.
Just my thoughts
It’ll be a record for a long time because though we can’t fathom it now over the next 10 years we are likely to peak and fade. And when the turbulence starts it’s unlikely that the best will loyally see it through. Best hope is probably Foden.
