He finished his season with us and then went onto win the euros with Spain.

He got back to training a week before the season started as he need a rest, you know a holiday like we all have.

He isnt up to speed yet, but he will be and he will cement his place as one of our very greatest.

He will come good again but I think maybe your takin some comments the wrong way. Silva had a very poor game yesterday but many feel he should have gone off rather than the likes of Dzeko .Dzeko must be gettin pissed off to the max when he has a good game and is then the one that is brought off.You could see he was pissed off again. I dont think anyone is sayin Silva is a bad play by and stretch of the imagination but had a poor game and should have been one of the first to be brought off. Maybe it was tactical reasons as to why he stayed on for which Mancini made a massive fook up.

He needs to rest, otherwise he won't be able to recover to play at his level when we most need him.

Agreed. He needs a period of rest, but with Nasri out, that is difficult.

Like most of our players he is down on form , possibly some fitness issues and for a number of reasons we don't have the right mindset on matchdays yet.

Lets hope we get back on track starting on Saturday.

One or two good results can make a big difference to our stuttering form.
