David Silva's heir apparent...

Never....Sterling hasn’t got the ability or the big one the game understanding to do what silva does....Foden or Bernardo far superior in both...Sterling has improved but not to the extent he could fill that role....replacing David Silva will be near impossible when he finishes

You cannot coach what Dave has in a 23 year old. That has come from a natural inate ability and years of playing and honing that talent. He can see things barely visible from above the pitch and deliver the ball on a plate. He can keep the ball effortlessly and buy himself room and glide past people despite his size and stature and relative lack of pace. Bernardo has shown glimpses of that this season, he is a better finisher (age comparatively) than Silva and has the potential to do the same job but is also very adept in a wide position running at his man which is something Silva would do less often, prefering to draw a man in to create room for others.

I cannot see Sterling doing that job. Foden also has the potential to but we will not find a like for like replacement and need to accept that when he does end his career it will be for someone with slightly different attributes to take over and different strengths and weaknesses.

Bernard oSilva, I have to say is probably the best player I have seen at trapping a ball in my lifetime, apart from David.
Nearly every ball that comes to him he brings under control, has an eye for goals and can produce sublime passes, I think if he wasn't in and out of the team, he would outshine Sane and Sterling, as he has that much potential.

So for me bernad as Davids natural replacement yes, but that's just my opinion
