Look at that kit! I remember buying that with my paper round money, that and the pyjama one with yellow brother on it. Umbro were shit then, that blue one was the same as the season before, but with a silly black thing on the armband. I'm actually sat here in this seasons home one. Umbro have moved up a gear since then!

David White was far and away my favourite City player when i was a kid (i'm 22 now). Quality player. I remember the day i met him with the Junior Blues and it felt like i was meeting God or something. I worshipped the guy!

He scored two at Maine Road in the opening home game of the 1991-92 season. Dean Saunders for the second year running missed a penalty at the Platt Lane End and Mcpointalot making his Liverpool debut scored a diving header for Pool.

White repeated his double at Anfield later in the season and could then clearly been seen to mouth 'Fuck off' to Reid & Ellis on the City bench.

Still one of my favourite City games this. We won the first three games and were top of the league. Keith Curles home debut who was outstanding that night. One of his goals crashed down against the bar onto the goal line. I can remember it being an age before the goal was given by the linesmen. Elton Welsby later on granada soccer night claimed it shouldn't have counted and a few days later Jimmy Greaves blasted the critics of the club and asked "why it was city never got any credit". Always liked him since that day.

Bradley Wright Phillips crossed it in for Kris Musumpa to hit the winner late on (almost the last kick of the match).

We also beat them at Anfield when Anelka scored late on and in 1995 at Maine Road on Good Friday when Gaudino scored. The following Monday we went to Blackburn (who were top of the league and had only lost once at home all season) and pulled off a 2-3 win. Kept us up really.
