De Bruyne kicking a ball again

I've only seen highlights of the game (you won't approve: took family to Brum to see Muse) but that was enough to see what a difference he made. You mention a coup,e of things that have given me great hope since his first appearance for us: he has real vision and the technique to match it. Those two volleys were prime examples of the ability he has: as you rightly point out, to control two shots like that in a game is exceptional.

If he responds to Pep, there's no telling just how good he can be for us. His first challenge, for me, remains to rid his game of sloppy simple passes; which, for obvious reasons, I think is all about concentration rather than any lack of skill. What will define whether KDB becomes a great player or not, will be his mentality.

Meh. Quite like the odd song (Resistance, Plug in baby, Unintended, for example), but generally speaking not for me....even if they are from God's own beautiful county!

Agreed ric! If we can get pogba, gundogan and Isco in imagine the carnage with de Bruyne, silva and aguero!!!!

what if KDB does not hit it of with Pep ???

don't get me wrong he is world class and could be up there with the Messi and Ronaldo in terms of the main man at there football clubs. but pep is a task master and could be working on something else and some other world class player to build a team around and with barca much of the game was all about messi just get the ball to him fast as you can. could KDB be the key YES but pep only knows what going to happen in the summer

I said a couple of weeks ago some big names will leave this summer and I mean legends at the club they just don't fit into the style of pep. and in like mancini a lot of hard work is done in training and everybody knows who's the boss and you must work hard in training you would be a fool to take on pep over something in the camp. unlike pellegrini the laid back style of the management of the players giving them really a free role and a chance to talk back to the manager and give there view of how things are done there way

so KDB yes a great talent and world class but a couple of questions about his time at Chelsea under jose / a task master / a ruler / a dictator / all the things said about jose mourinho and maybe KDB was to young to handle it. but this summer pep will be the boss and if the players don't pull there fingers out and they have a season like this season you think pep will just let it happen. I don't think pep will let it happen pre-season never mind a full season

Not actually a big fan but my word they put on a good show.

Believe me KGB is staying with Pep. He is a Pep type player (Robben?) and his transfer was probably secretly sanctioned by the great man (same applies to Sterling). I do agree that players who do/will not fit into Pep's style will go but KGB is not one of them. I think the ones in danger are most of the backline, maybe Hart, Toure (not mobile enough), Bony and Navas.

Sometime this forum does make me wonder...

KDB can play far out on the right or left and he can play through the middle which means he is very versatile/adaptable.
He has two great feet.
He is probably one of the most technically gifted players in our team.

Why the feck should Guardiola not like him?!?

Its as though some need to find negatives.......like the above post states,Pep probably requested kevin's signature......he's going nowhere, its absurd to think different, and I look forward to the probability he will become an even better player.

Every chance he will improve under Pep.
He is genuinely one of the very best players in Europe when on it.
As long as Pep likes ginger he'll be just fine!!

I'm really looking forward to seeing how Pep utilises him. We have rarely played him in his best position, same goes for Sterling.
