De Bruyne?

Why do you all think samuel's article is so bad exactly?

Literally everything.

His argument is that Sterling seems good value because paying 46m for De Bruyne is crazy.

He thinks it is crazy because mourinho sold him 18 months ago, after playing less than 3 games in the premier league, therefore he's not worth a big fee.

If every club followed that logic then there would be no foreign players in the league. The idea you have to be proven in the league to be worth money is laughable.

Not to mention the sycophantic arse licking of Mourinho - acting like he has other worldly judgement of players that our set up could only dream of having and is incapable of making mistakes - even though they've made half a dozen mistakes since he rejoined them 2 years ago.

It also leaves out the fact Mourinho would have more than happily kept him, but didn't because De Briyne wanted to leave. He wanted to leave because he wanted to play every week and not be stuck behind Willian.

Secondly, I'd actually argue that signing the assist leader in Europe last year, who beat Robben, Ribery, Muller, Reus, lewandowski to German POTY for only 2m more than Sterling shows how much we overplayed for sterling based on his future potential so his fundamental premise is wrong.

Sterlings fee was 50% current ability, 50% potential. De Bruyne is delivering already at the level that makes him worth £46m.

I could not have written a more incorrect, stupid and baseless article if I had tried.

But apart from that.....

Could not agree more!

This in particular is very bad.

Yet he has proved to be a considerably better judge of players suited to English conditions than the recruitment arm of Manchester City in recent years — and £46m is an awful lot of money to bet on reversing the form.

But then when Samuel's talking about "in recent years" he's more than likely talking about since his mates got binned from City two summers ago. Funny that the recruitment arm of Manchester City is in fact the same people who binned his mates. Anyone would think the fat **** has an axe to grind.

On Mourinho - turns out Salah, Cuardrado, and Felipe Luis weren't so suited to the PL. Zoom Zooma for all his hype hasn't yet started to pull up trees. Falcao ? Remy look a world beater ?

Every club signs good players and bad players. Some players work out some players don't. Fat man seems to just be lashing out because someone at a club where he still has mates has instructed him to lash out.
