De Bruyne?

That's because people read what they want to read. I've said a thousand times that I hope we sign Pogba and he is worth paying over the odds for. I also think that Delph at 8m was a good signing.

I said Sterling isn't worth £50m but I also said I'm glad it's sorted.

As for De Bruyne, he's clearly a good player but I don't see where he'd fit in at City. We can't logically be trying to sign De Bruyne and Pogba because if we play with Yaya and Pogba, we need somebody behind them, not in front of them (which will either be Fernando or Fernandinho).

It's not negativity. I'm pleased we are balls deep for some good players. I'm just not getting carried away. If I'm wrong as we sign both De Bruyne and Pogba you can all take the piss out of me.

Do you think we will get pogba or Kdb??

You are kidding?

KDB is arguably our most important signing of the window, we're crying out for a left sided player and have been for a couple of seasons now. We lack real balance in the side and that's what makes our play so predictable at times, a naturally left sided player who can cut inside or out, keep possession and create assists is a must, KDB ticks all them boxes.

I've always thought de Bruyne played naturally behind the striker but capable of playing on both wings.

I think he was mate. Kidding that is...

I was contemplating the scenario Ono alluded to the other day, the one where ridicule is aimed even during success...... The psychology of the Wum I call it.. Take note

Those who persist in negativity and proved wrong.... Who's arsed?? Everyone is posting gifs due to the endorphins being pumped from the capture

However

The wum has actually created a 'win, win' scenario for themselves, not only invisibility if a player signs but also the satisfaction of rubbing dirt in the faces with a 'big, fat, told you so'...... Thus, a wum is a strange character, Mr Nolan taught me this many, many moons ago!!!

I'm sorry, Danamy, but he's not a naturally left sided player, is he? Granted, I haven't watched him that much, but whenever I've seen him he's been playing as a central attacking midfielder. Does he play on the left wing often?

Does Mr Nolan do private tuition, there's a few on here that could use his services?

I don't think Ono is on a windup based on the last couple of posts I've read. Just has a different view. Each to their own fellas... Let him be.

I hope we sign him, he will definitely help Silva out. Esp when silva is injuries we have no one really of that quality. Bars I steps up now and then but not often enought for me. I think having another attacking midfielder is always a good thing.

You could player silva kev and yaya behind Sergio, that would be interesting and hard to explain to the players who is getting dropped.

This season De Bruyne has played the majority of games behind the striker, due to a number of reasons. Firstly, the other options Wolfsburg have behind the striker are rubbish. Aaron Hunt has flopped badly and Maximilian Arnold is behind moulded into a more deep lying playmaker by Hecking. Next, Wolfsburg are stacked in the wing positions. It's probably their best position; with Perišić, Schürrle, Vieirinha and Caligiuri all laying on either wing.

Interestingly when De Bruyne was on loan at Werder Bremen he was predominantly played as a Right midfielder, and he had a great season and was probably Bremen's stand out player. So I could definitely see him doing a good job out right, or left for that matter.

Yeah, didn't see that before posting.

Btw, you posted in the Sterling thread that "it's looking likely" re. De Bruyne. Anything new?

Nothing new but everything crossed, I've always wanted to see either KDB or Reus in a City shirt so apologies if I'm getting all giddy about it.

you may have said that you want pogba...but I'm sure you have also said that he won't come

you admit saying sterling isn't worth 50m so another negative

and you admit that you say that you don't see where KDB would fit in and that you don't think we will sign him

so thank you for proving my point

3 negative points of view about our 3 major targets

like i said.....why????????

^^^Christ, I've said I don't think the Pogba deal will go through, but that's because I'm a **** and just can't see one of the world's most sought after players coming to City - I hope I'm wrong.

I don't think Sterling is worth £50m, but I thought Real got their arses slapped for Bale. I've also said that only time will tell (over the length of the contract) if Sterling is worth the £50m - I'm fucking hoping he ends up being a steal!

As for KDB.......? No fucking idea.

I'm not a wum, just a negative ****.....! Oh, you can blame decades of being a Blue on that.

difference is that you admit being negative and that he is taking EVERY opportunity to be that way on a continuous basis
