De Bruyne?

I wonder if last night will force De Bruyne's hand. He said he'd make his decision this week, I imagine that whichever way he decides, this on stage prank will speed things up, and probably work in our favour.

Do feel sorry for the lad though, he tried really hard to leave without upsetting anyone a Wolfsburg, remained diplomatic, and then some tv host prick forces him in to saying something he didn't mean to.

German practical joke eh?
Who'd have thought it.
The 2 hours on Bluemoon last night should be named our "Basil Fawlty evening".
After the window closes someone should open a best German football jokes thread.....NOT!
Any wummers regarding this thread from now on should be shot on sight.
Bill's "In my office, now" was the post of the night for me.
Have a good day Ric, you're a fine fellow in my book.
I just want to hear about medicals from now on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's an important point to make here and hopefully people are starting to see why I rave about Txiki.

Every deal we are doing is attempting to buy the best player and talisman of a team that do not want to sell. Allofs was correct and we are not Barca who players will push through the move to and clubs are resigned to losing players to. Clubs like Wolfsburg and Liverpool resent us cherry picking their best talent as they don't feel we deserve it.

The deals we have been chasing this season are extremely ambitious and extremely hard. They are with clubs happy to run us through the press and play silly bugger's. But despite the difficulty we are still actually landing players of real quality

It's a testament to the skill of Txiki that we aren't petulantly walking away or moving on to easier targets as a panicked response.

At the end of this window we probably would have signed Sterling, KDB, Delph and Otamendi whilst moving on dross. That is potentially the best transfer window we have had since the takeover, and we would have achieved this because Txiki kept his head when seemingly everybody else lost theirs

Good post. I don't think it should be understated how difficult it must have been to negotiate with clubs with such chips on their shoulders when it comes to City
