Bavaria extends way beyond just the city. Right on the doorstep you have regions which are arguably the most beautiful in europe, i've been to the alps and they are probably my favorite holiday destination.

Besides that picture looks absolutely standard for any decent city, hardly looks rough. Our respective cities are probably much worse.
 
Just on that street alone Arnulfstrasse, about 500m up there are the augustinerkeller and the circus krone

Munich pisses all over Berlin in culture and beauty and as for the region, it is just wonderful
