De Bruyne?

Gone quiet on that Baba lad?

Looks like Pog has the right mentality, same as Sergio in that respect.

I know fuck all about Baba and only saw the links recently so I've got no idea how real they are. I can see us not touching the back 4 this summer and going again with what we have plus Denayer.

I hope not. We could really make do with a new left back.

Yesterday he dismissed the Inter by Ivan Perisic, today touches away Manchester City by Kevin De Bruyne.Hard times, or maybe not if you really sell is the hardest thing for Klaus Allofs, sporting director of Wolfsburg that, even in Kicker, dismissed the sirens across the Channel for the Belgian midfielder: "I'm not worried, I know nothing any of these offers so there is no need to talk. Wolfsburg will attempt to keep Kevin De Bruyne from from Manchester City's clutches during contract talks on Monday.

City are ready to splash £50million on the Belgium international this summer as Manuel Pellegrini looks to assemble a squad capable of wrestling the Barclays Premier League title from Chelsea.

But the Bundesliga outfit are determined to keep the attacking midfielder and will hold discussions over an improved deal to stay in Germany on Monday.

Wolfsburg's pitch is likely to prove pivotal to City's chances of landing De Bruyne this summer.

De Bruyne's current deal doesn't expire until 2019, but Wolfsburg will offer him an extension with a significant increase on his current £40,000-per-week deal.

It remains to be seen whether the new contract will be enough to keep De Bruyne happy at Wolfsburg.

Cash-rich City and Paris Saint-Germain are both prepared to spend heavily, particularly in terms of wages, to land the 24-year-old attacker in time for next season.

Speaking last week Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs said: 'Kevin has a contract until 2019, so the signal has already been sent out. He will stay with us. We've said we will look at his contract.

'The aim is to take into account financially Kevin's extraordinary development. The best players should earn the best wages. We will make an offer to him and I think we will reach an agreement here very quickly.'
