Although personally I don't think it's an absurd price he is probably aware that City have a budget and that if we overspend on one player we don't have as much for another we might be interested in whereas if the price was lower we could get both. Perfectly reasonable argument and much more thought out than the oft posted "wot do you care it isn't your money is it" which has all the relevance of a very irrelevant thing
