To put that in perspective, 5 years before that, Shearer was sold for a world record fee of £15m. So is it really any surprise that you can't buy potentially world class players any more with the contents of a piggy bank and a couple of moonpies?

When you see that recently David Luiz and Fernando Torres have moved for fees in the region of £50m how can you complain that roughly the same figure is being attached to a guy who has just outshone everyone in the Bundesliga with a record number of assists?

Get with the times or stay in your fish bowl of nostalgia but please just stop having a whinge.

Football is a entertainment industry. The more popular & global it becomes, the more money will be dominate. Huge transfer fees and wages are not Wolfsburg's, City's or KDB's fault. It's just way it is when an industry is as popular as football is.

Yeah I heard you the first and second and third times. So I can't hate Bayern because they are a big club? Or are the two statements not linked in which case your specialist topic is "the bleeding obvious"

you cannot compare this deal with Aguero"s The Sky money now has gone through the roof putting shedloads of money in the game which had already oozed pound notes and therefore transfers have gone frankly. insane
