De Bruyne?

This is infuriating, I am guessing we are not giving ultimatums because we really want our man, this surely must mean we are confident that it will get over the line at some point even if its seconds to the deadline..

I think we have to get used to the idea, that in order to buy the best players available to us, that will sometimes mean buying from clubs who don't want to sell.

In my view if we get KDB over the line, along with Sterling, they're a new breed of signing we've never had before.

Sure Yaya, Silva and Aguero have been exceptional for us, but they were available to buy for varying reasons.

KDB and Sterling are the kind of signings Garry Cook often tried to make but never pulled off.

We're being taken for a ride by Wolfsburg. They will stretch it out till next monday just to see if there is a last minute bid, if not the choice is theirs, ask for more money or keep him, they're not arsed either way. We should take them to the line ourselves then bang a last minute pile on No 10 Black at the Juve Casino.

I am in no way flapping or being negative about the way city have gone about this deal. But from the outside looking in, it looks like we are being taken for mugs. Are they (Wolfsburg) hoping that by playing the transfer this way we will get bored and then they can keep their man?

And then be given a pat on the back & a packet of sweeties, by Bayern, in lieu of a transfer fee, for him next season, which they will convince themselves, and their supporters, is a great deal

It stinks to high heaven

KEVIN DE BRUYNE LATEST

Time for an update now regarding Premier League pace-setters Manchester City and their pursuit of Wolfsburg attacking midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.

The Bundelsiga club’s sporting director Klaus Allofs has admitted they are considering an offer for the player.

Sources have told us the deal under discussion is for an initial £54.4million rising to £58million.

Wolfsburg have maintained they want to keep the player - but the momentum seems to point towards a move to the Etihad, though reports in Germany claim Bayern Munich may be his preferred destination.

De Bruyne played the full 90 minutes at the weekend and is expected at the Wolfsburg training ground this afternoon.
