De Bruyne?

I think there's an argument that Nasri was in the category when we bought him.

Rooney and Kaka are the two that stick out. Neither KDB or Sterling might have the name of Rooney or Kaka but I honestly think we should be really impressed with this summer's work. Other than Nasri, I can't think of a signing that comes close really in terms of snatching a player from a top team unwilling to sell.

We're being taken for a ride by Wolfsburg. They will stretch it out till next monday just to see if there is a last minute bid, if not the choice is theirs, ask for more money or keep him, they're not arsed either way. We should take them to the line ourselves then bang a last minute pile on No 10 Black at the Juve Casino.
We're all pissed off with this I think but I'm sure we'd do the same if another club wanted Merlin for example....

KEVIN DE BRUYNE LATEST

Time for an update now regarding Premier League pace-setters Manchester City and their pursuit of Wolfsburg attacking midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.

The Bundelsiga club’s sporting director Klaus Allofs has admitted they are considering an offer for the player.

Sources have told us the deal under discussion is for an initial £54.4million rising to £58million.

Wolfsburg have maintained they want to keep the player - but the momentum seems to point towards a move to the Etihad, though reports in Germany claim Bayern Munich may be his preferred destination.

De Bruyne played the full 90 minutes at the weekend and is expected at the Wolfsburg training ground this afternoon.

If this is true, I really dont understand the hold up....This would be matching the rumoured asking price for De Bruyne....seems like they just playing games with us....If he not for sale they should take him off the market and not set a value for him.....very frustrating
