If those things are insurmountable then it wouldn't make sense for either club to still be continiuing with this, so it stands to reason it's very close.

1) He most likely thinks he will get a huge move at some point whatever.
2) If he did, ask, would City promise to pay any amount of money to make sure he isn't left stranded at Wolfsburg seen as a traitor by their fans ? (Ans: would City fuck do that, so why should he ?)

The latter I think. There aren't many players that we can realistically acquire that would improve our squad, let alone starting 11.

I'm of the mind that KDB would be a massive signing but, that being said, the signings we have made this summer not only means we've brought some good players in, but they'll improve the players we had last season. Just look at Sterling/Silva/ Kolarov as an example.

If his representative are listening to other offers after being locked in negotiations with us for two months, and as his agent has clarified that we won't "go on war" with Wolfsburg, clearly suggests he is not that much intereseted in joining us. He is settled at Wolfsburg and will join Bayern next season.
