De Bruyne?

Thanks Maureen, that's the best thing you could have said. Either KDB joins City 'on a mission' to ram the words back down your throat, or, as you predict, he will bottle it and not sign for City where there is BIG competition for places .... either way, the best solution for City.

Maureen quoted in tomorrow's papers on why he left chelsea. Basically wanted guaranteed starts didn't train very well and didn't have the mentality to fight for a place. Goes onto say chelsea got a good deal for him buying him cheap and selling high. Wishes him well and says Wolfsburg can now make a good deal.
That's Mourinho showing his spinelessness again. Responding to The Mirror yesterday. We say fuck all.

Well Wolfsburg play 2 games this weekend if he plays in either of them you'd assume we aren't close to a deal right?

Sounds like a guy who just got dumped and claiming he's happy KDB dumped him. Hope it lights a fire under KDB to prove him wrong.

There's nothing wrong with Mourinho's comments. Some players thrive being the main man on the team others prefer secondary roles. More of an observation than criticism.

Mourinho isn't going to praise a player who's about to join his biggest rivals in the title race.

If De Bruyne comes to us and is a big success, Mourinho is going to look pretty stupid.

Mourinho and the press trying to talk negative about the lad makes me think the deal is nearly done.

Me too.

I'd guess an announcement will be made before Monday.

Maybe KDB didn't subscribe to Maureen-O's school of thought, or "cheating, diving, harassing ref" ?
Maureen-O's "Pirate school of football"! He's the Blackbeard of Prem managers, Costa, the Long John Silver, no wonder he falls down so much!!!!
No, we need to blow Chelsea out of the water this season, the whole team knows what it has to do, they know they didn't do themselves justice last season, with competition for places, and an influx of talent ( both internal and external) I'm sure we will see a return to winning ways

Mourinho could never let it be thought that he had made a mistake in releasing a players that goes on to do well. It has to be the player's fault.

You can never be sure whether Jose is playing games or not but people often read what he says and jump to their own, perhaps, preconceived conclusions. He could just have said that KDB was impatient to play more.

I hope City have done their homework thoroughly on ths guy because, if he signs, people like Nasri want just say: "here, have my place in the team". Mental strength is what turns the talented into great.

Cheers Mo, you just given the lad even more incentive to come to us. If he was struggling to make his mind up then you just helped out a big heap.

I have a feeling Kev is going to love making old big head look foolish.

Finally Mo has the political stance and ideas of a 13 year old, the media might say different, but we all know that his tiresome words are boring and predictable....Yawn!!

I have a feeling it will be Samir trying to get his place back and not the other way around OB1.
