De Bruyne?

Thanks mate for hanging out with us through the highs and lows of this transfer. Its likely he'd be deployed to the right of our attacking line and so I thought to have your input as to what we should expect from this golden boy playing a slightly different role in a new team. As one that watches him play week in week out unlike some of us, I trust that your judgement would make sense. Cheers!
Sorry to get back to you so late, i was on a flight back from France. As far as De Bruyne on the right goes, I'm not convinced he'll excel for you there, he won't be a bad player by any means but I don't think you'll see him to his full potential. He's best when given total freedom, to pass, dribble, shoot when ever he wants, which he could at Wolfsburg, at City I'm not so sure. He is however one of the best crossers of a ball. But when you pay upwards of £50m for a player you are looking at what they'll produce long term and I'd assume he'll eventually take over from Silva as the main man (?) and given he'll have had some experience of City and the PL I honestly think in 2/3 years time he will be a Ballon d'or contender. I rate him that highly

Don't know about the Ballon d'or thing, but I too think that we won't see his full potential out on the right and that eventually he'll take over from Silva centrally. Perhaps by then there'll be a 'next big thing' speedy technically gifted left footer to play on the right.

KDB taking over from Silva would be too big of a step down. KDB has his qualities but he's not someone who dictates possession.

Out of interest, how do you think he will do if we allow him, Silva and Sterling to all interchange and play wherever they see fit as the situation develops?
And how is he on the counter attack? Not seen much of him at Wolfsburg, where is he on a Demichelis - Navas level of pace.

Presumably palace away will be his first match. Hard game to win be a great place for him to get a debut goal though.
