You make an excellent point mate....I would agree, on paper the squad is weaker....as many have said, transfer window isnt over for another 4 weeks but I really believe our transfer target should be week 1 of the season and not the start of Sept.....with so many south american players only just back training, strength and depth on the squad to start the season is even more important......

Dzeko. Jovetic and Lampard were making up the numbers. Harsh maybe on Lampard, but not on the other 2. Not entirely Jovetic's fault as his opportunities were limited, but Dzeko might have done an awful lot more when he had the chance.

Delph and Sterling will be assets on the field - not just paper assets.

Just a thought - City management want both Pogba and De Bruyne but despite him being their first choice are not 100% sure they can get Pogba over the line. So as only Jovetic has definitely gone they don't want to commit to DeBruyne until either Dzeko is also off the books or Pogba is absolutely not coming. Once Dzeko goes De Bruyne will come in - still
leaving a free space if they can get Pogba done or a free space for a quickly arranged alternative with no complications to scupper the other deal. Maybe wishful thinking but hope this is the scenario - Come on you blues !!!

What's the difference, whether De Bruyne comes in for Jovetic or Dzeko. They are not earmarked.

Your not the only one. If de bruyne is the only incoming top 4 is the best we can hope for this season. We need to go all out for pogba.

I agree we are weaker but transfers at complicated, especially for top players and the window is still open.
