De Bruyne?

That's funny because if you take Sanchez and Ramsey out ours looks much the stronger of the two. Any more gems? Like how the rags forward line looks stronger than Barca's if you don't count Messi, Neymar and Suarez?
Cazorla and Walcott, Oxlade Chamberlain or Ozil over Nasri and Navas any day of the week. Their attacking options in midfield are far stronger than ours.

It's about balance though isn't it ? Fernandinho , Zucculini & Yaya wouldn't be a bad 3 against your average Prem team imo. If Delph was being rested.

There's no space in our squad Nev!

Bruno is well down the pecking order...he'd do better to get loaned out to a decent club in a competitive league and see how he gets on

Personally I think he's a loan/sell commodity and will never make our first team

But with all our young talents I hope i'm proven wrong

I like your optimism but if we get penalties wouldn't it be kun hitting them if he is on the pitch?

Interestingly this has me flummoxed.... I can't say either way, I know Kun hit 5 last year to yayas 3, though I thought this was because yaya was away?

Personally, he'd be my preference on pens, he never looks like missing, however, you may be right...

Yaya will just bag 5/6 free kicks instead (:

In the real world Mr Wilko Managers do not take risks when it comes to 'real' football matches...The reason Nacho and Denayer are even remotely being considered is because they have been exceptional...and even then they will play very little this season IMO

Zuculini is a midfielder...possibly our most hotly contested area on the field...just who do you think Bruno will replace out of the host of world superstars we have in the centre of the park?
We have Yaya, Fernando, Fernandinho and Delph fighting for 3 positions (if we go 4-3-3) as far as I can make out. One of those is a world superstar. Unless we sign anyone, Bruno will be challenging for a spot. Whether that's a good thing depends on what you think of the lad.

There is a space in the Premier League squad as it stands, if Dzeko goes. Iheanacho would be counted as U21. If we sign both DeBruyne & Pogba, then there is no space. But that then assumes we keep both Nasri & Navas.

I'm not saying it's likely or unlikely, or indeed that Bruno is worth a shot, but as we stand there is a space.
Not really.....from the thread on the main forum......
"Open" squad slots (i.e. anyone can be named here)
1 - Caballero
2 - Sagna
3 - Zabaleta
4 - Kompany
5 - Demichelis
6 - Mangala
7 - Kolarov
8 - Fernando
9 - Fernandinho
10 - Toure
11 - Nasri
12 - Navas
13 - Silva
14 - Bony
15 - Aguero
16 - Dzeko
17 - Iheanacho
"Homegrown squad slots (first 4 association trained, 2nd 4 club trained)
18 - Hart
19 - Clichy
20 - Delph
21 - Sterling (still under 21 but been a City player less than 2 years)
22 - No one qualifies for these positions in City's first team squad.
23 - No one qualifies for these positions in City's first team squad.
24 - No one qualifies for these positions in City's first team squad.
25 - No one qualifies for these positions in City's first team squad.

Richard Wright misses out as we can't find a slot for him unless Iheanacho, or Dzeko, are excluded. If Dzeko is sold then we have 1 free spot, available to anyone.

None of our club trained players are, as yet, over the age of 21, and all have been at the club for 2 years (hence "club trained"). These players don't take up one of the 25 man squad positions, they are added to a "B List" which only has 2 rules for inclusion. 1 - Is the player under 21 as at 1st January 2015? 2 - Has the player been at City for 2 years? Players such as Denayer, Lopes, Barker etc can be added to the B List.
We haven't got rid of Dzeko as things stand, and he will likely be replaced by De Bruyne, and Iheanacho counts as U21 in the PL, but not the CL so there is a PL space

Yaya only has them when kun isn't on the pitch but over the course of the season I'd imagine Yaya would have the opportunity for at least 5, I'm expecting a 35 goal season.

Make no mistake at least one of these two will be coming...possibly two...if it was one...I highly doubt Bruno would be the one to be slotted in

If it was the two...it would be a moot point

He will not be in the squad this year...but I think deep down you both know that

I'm not even defending the lad. I don't recall ever seeing him play a competitive game so I totally reserve judgement on him until I do. I just seriously think we need to buy centrally.
