We have Yaya, Fernando, Fernandinho and Delph fighting for 3 positions (if we go 4-3-3) as far as I can make out. One of those is a world superstar. Unless we sign anyone, Bruno will be challenging for a spot. Whether that's a good thing depends on what you think of the lad.
As much as we all want that to be the case, If pre-season is anything to go by, we have those 4 competing for just 2 spots with the likes of Silva/Nasri occupying the advanced midfield role.

Make no mistake at least one of these two will be coming...possibly two...if it was one...I highly doubt Bruno would be the one to be slotted in

He will not be in the squad this year...but I think deep down you both know that
I think he will be in the squad, if we only sign one of DeBruyne or Pogba. Well unless of course we buy someone else non homegrown, from under the radar. I also think there's an outside chance he could be in the squad if we get both, as we might sell Nasri or Navas.
If Dzeko goes & we only sign one, I would feel a lot more comfortable with Zucculini in the squad, than not, put it that way.

Rony Lopes counts as U21, so he has no need to qualify as club trained or homegrown, until he is over 21.

With us not really being linked to any central midfielders maybe that is the plan. far stronger? Leading goal scorers in the prem 12 more the le arse. Can't be that bad can they. Before you say, I know kun scored a shitload but he needs good service doesn't he. And its not just about assists, its all about the link up play as well.Cazorla and Walcott, Oxlade Chamberlain or Ozil over Nasri and Navas any day of the week. Their attacking options in midfield are far stronger than ours.
Why do so many fans really underrate our own player's? Its like reading a redcafe thread.

I know you like your youth, As do I...but this lad is becoming the new Bojinov...as in put on a pedestal whilst having very little game time...aside from a decent cameo in the pre season friendlies before the 14/15 season he's played very little...after that disastrous Valencia debacle I really don't know what you are going off?
