Ric is remarkably well informed. Obviously has the confidence of well placed people. That's really very valuable for us all.

Hopeful that this is coming to an end.

Imagine if the window closes and we have Sterling,Delph, Roberts, De Bruyne and Otamendi in and Džeko and Jovetić out. That would make an already impressive squad so much stronger. Add to that is the early season form of Kompany and Toure which I see as key to our season.

We should balance optimism with reality and the knowledge of what football can throw at you.

Sounds to me like Wolfsburg are intent on running the transfer clock down so they won't have to spend the money. Unless they're planning a silly trolley dash which, as we know, never ends well.
