De Bruyne?

Silva adapted very quickly though and has shone ever since.
Some players, despite impressive statistics in a different league, just don't. Forlan, Shevchenko etc.
I understand that every transfer has a risk attached. There are no guarantees or certainties.
He LOOKS to be a fantastic player and he'll no doubt replace a good player if and when he arrives.

Belgians doesn't really have a first language, they speak french, dutch and flemish, depending on the area in Belgium.
No big deal but I have lived in Belgium for a number of years , Dutch and Flemish are just dialect differences and of coarse French in the South "Wallonia" also German is spoken around Bastogne and Luxemburg .
The Flemish speakers all speak very good English and BBC 1 , BBC 2 and BBC World on Belgium T.V. Also English is the main language in the university's.
Again no big deal.

You’re talking about it as if it’s an object not a person with their own wishes/intentions.

You might have a cat someone is offering you an amount for. But you really like the cat and don’t want to sell so you string them along and up the price on a daily basis. Fine in principle but there’s nothing to stop the cat packing it’s kitty bags and leaving through the cat flap.

Quite. So long as the player doesn't rock the boat they hold all the cards. Hopefully he's doing some boat rocking behind the scenes. But if he is unwilling to force a transfer then the only card we hold is money. Look at how Everton are screwing Chelsea over Stones. If I had to bet I'd put money on something like a 55 mill fee with another 5 or 6 in addons. For KDB that is.

Stockholm Syndrome. It's like the Premier League would be if Liverpool had kicked on at the end of the 80s and had another 25 years of success on top of it.

I can't work it out, it's like they accept 'the order ' of things. Same happens in Spain to some extent, makes the Premier League the best / most competitive league in Europe.

Can we have a separate thread for the wank songs? A) they are wank B) they are annoying and clogging up fairly decent posts and C) they are wank

Really don't understand the "Wolfsburg don't need the money" bollocks.

Financially they'd have to be in a terrible position to be reliant on the transfer of a £50m player and I'm struggling to think of a club at the top level that would be that poorly run. But come on, they're a fucking business at the end of the day and they have an asset that they can sell off for a massive profit. On top of that, De Bruyne isn't worth £50m to them. Will they win the league or champions league with him in the squad? Not impossible but highly doubted and I'm sure Wolfsburg accept this. On top of that, if he has an anonymous season for them, he will never command such a high fee for them again. I'm sure they would like to keep him but this transfer is going to make them a shit load of money.

I know all this has been said but I just can't believe people are still repeating that shit.

When people talk about that, I don't think they're saying Wolfsburg don't need the money to stay in business as such. But there are clubs who need to sell before they can buy. Some clubs wouldn't be able to turn down £50m as it'd be a great opportunity to strengthen their squad. Wolfsburg can afford to do that irrespective of whether the money comes in or not.

Eerily quiet again on this one, but still happening I guess?.
you wobbling...
