Man City transfers: Begiristain closes in on De Bruyne deal

Manchester City's director of football is working on completing a move for Wolfsburg star De Bruyne
Manchester City have their eyes firmly fixed on the final prize of the summer transfer window, Wolfsburg star Kevin de Bruyne.

The German club upped the ante by claiming the Belgium ace is not for sale – but added the rider that he would not be kept against his will, if a good offer came in.

City football director Txiki Begiristain has stayed in Manchester after originally being scheduled to join up with City’s tour to Australia and Vietnam.
It was thought he had delayed his flight in order to wrap up the purchase of Patrick Roberts earlier this week, but he has still not joined up with the squad.

And that appears to be because the Blues are now homing in on de Bruyne, in a deal that would take their summer spending towards the £100m mark.

Wolfsburg will want an unrealistic £60m-plus for the Bundesliga player of the year, if de Bruyne says he wants to go.

But City have their sights set on a limit of around £40million, and will tempt the former Chelsea player by trumping the new improved contract Wolfsburg have put on the table.

Since when did transfers start going this way, where clubs are basically throwing their players under the bus getting them to put in transfer requests to force moves and making them look like cunts to their fans? You're all fucking whores, selling your best players to the highest bidder, stop trying to come across like Liverpool esque angels and do things with a bit of dignity. 'We're not going to sell unless the players demands to move and we get a ludicrously high price for a player we paid pennies for' .... get to fuck you hypocritical fuckers. I'm all for clubs trying to get the best they can for their own clubs (and pockets) but do it with a bit of dignity you fuckwits.

VfL Wolfsburg have secured their next new signing for the coming campaign: Francisco Rodriguez makes the immediate transfer from FC Zürich to the Wolves, with the attacking midfielder signing a deal with the Green-Whites until June 30th, 2018. The details of the move remain undisclosed by both clubs. The 19-year-old, whose brother Ricardo Rodriguez has been with the Wolves since January 2012, will wear the number 35 shirt for VfL.

Sounds like a replacement. Don't know much about him myself.
