De Bruyne?

I do really like john stones and would love to sign him next summer but this year who's place does he take out of Denayer, Kompany, Mangala or Demichelis?

I'm expecting De Bruyne through the door this week and Pogba having a grand unveiling at the open training session next week ;-)

At the moment I'm not convinced Mangala is a starter. Hope to be proven wrong though.

Kompany has form issues that we all hope he's going to come back from. Demi is another year older. Den is untested at this level but looking good. Zabs wasn't himself last season. We could do with a DM. Stones would get plenty of games as a versatile player with suspensions and injuries even if not yet a first choice. Being HG is a big plus. He's going to get better and he's not going to get any cheaper.

But so far as I know we're not connected with him or Bale. It's just my wishful thinking. And given how crap my FM 2015 City team is doing on the iPad, I'm a crap judge.

But you don't know if there is a hold up, no one does people are presuming there is, perhaps there are other issues at play just maybe both parties prefer to do the negotiations behind closed doors
Yeah, that's fair enough mate.

All projects have delivery dates. I'd bet we have passed our original delivery date, and maybe even a revised one. I am musing though, with no real facts, granted.

At least we are in a position where we do have plenty of time to complete the deal/(s) regardless of original delivery dates. Our first 3 games are tough- let's hope KDB is here and in place for them!!

Like I said I think he would be perfect for us next summer to replace Demichellis but until the we haven't got room and the benefit he would get from being first choice at Everton this year would be better for his progress and playing him at right back would be pointless.

We'll see if Bony ever averages the same goals/ minutes ratio as Dzeko.
And this is why the rest of us get pissed off with the flappers. The reason is not that you have an alternative opinion. The reason is that you form a conviction based on your personal prejudices and then you make predictions based on those prejudices. Your post sounds as though you almost want Bony to fail so you can then say how much better Dzeko was, and by extention, how right you were.
We have absolutely no idea if Bony will score more goals than Dzeko. We don't know if the goals he scores will be as important as the goals that Dzeko scored for us. He may turn out to be a better team player than Dzeko though, and he may indirectly benefit the team more than Dzeko ever did. But he may not. No one knows until at least the end of next season when he has had a chance to prove himself. We're not Bony fans or Dzeko fans, We're City fans. We should have no problem calling shit on Bony, or anyone else for that matter, if they do indeed turn out to be shit. But what we should do is give the guy a chance to show us what he can do and then criticise him if he doesn't deliver.
What we shouldn't do is call him out before the season has begun because we see him as taking the place of a player who we have previously admired but who's time has now come and gone. Indeed we should be hoping that Bony does turn out to be a better player than Dzeko, because that is what is in the best interests of City going forward.

Phenomenal post. Calmly put, which is the ideal retort to a lot of these toerags who you describe in their obsession with seeing the likes of Wilf fail as long as "Big Edin" and his ilk are seen as the heroes.

Very well put.

Getting harder to come on here, to face the doom mongers..i am rationing my time in the transfer forum to maintain my dignity and remain optimistic.

Great post

He was right though, we will see how well Bony performs (since we bought him has showed nothing for example). Hopefully he bangs zillion of goals and help us win league, but proclaiming he is better than Edin, what many on here do, is laughable. Also I hope you will post as long post when someone says Dzeko was crap and Bony is much better in every way, without actually having showed anything. Hating Edin is deemed fine it seems here after what he has done for us, bunch of hypocrites on this forum,

New Kicker Artikel today :

Manchester United , PSG , Manchester City , ( Bayern )are interested. De bruyne prefers bayern over the other clubs but he accept Wolfsburgs decision to stay for 1 more season.

Also it is not clear if Bayern is even interested
