I think we have a great shout for the title.Agreed on that mate, we're certainties for the top four, but as for winning it I'm not sure.

I'd put it more like 80/20 in our favour @getthefuckin.comMore than a 50/50 mate. All down to the fee now, which according to the mirror, we believe we've more or less agreed. I'd be staggered if he didn't join us.
You can't win anything with kids.Worried this isn't going to happen now.
I thought once Jovetic had gone De Bruyne would arrive ASAP.
Hope we aren't haggling for a few million quid off.
Best part of £50m spent on Sterling.
If Wolfsberg want £50m for De Bruyne then give it to them and get the lad in ASAP.
If it doesn't happen and we don't make any more signings the window will still have been decent.
Kelechi - Jovetic & Dzeko (important to get wages off the books and give the kid a crack at the first team)
Sterling - a definite upgrade on Milner and much better than Nasri on the left.
Delph - A big upgrade on Fernando ( I personally think he will get a lot more game time than people think)
Roberts - Fantastic talent & ready for a slice of first team action.
Denayer - Like a new £30m signing and currently our best CB (agreed thats not difficult at present)
If De Bruyne arrives we will be unplayable going forward and the window will have been very good.
Pogba would have made it an amazing window but looks like that ones dead.
I've moved to the Cheap as Chips stand this year.
Bring it on Blues!!!

Chances are tha the is the most likely new arrival in the coming days. The chances are probably no better than 50/50 but I remain hopeful.
Compared to Pogba who has said yesterday that he is looking forward to another season with Juventus in the #10 shirt, he is a lot more likely to join City.
If we are serious about winning the Premier League title then it is an imperative that he arrives at the Etihad in this transfer window. Currently I believe both Chelsea and Arsenal will finish ahead of us in the coming season based on existing squads. United possibly too.
That said, I'll keep my powder dry until the window "slams shut" on 1/9/15 when a clearer picture has materialized.
Don't get nervous - Just relax and when he rocks up at the Etihad (which he will) enjoy what he brings to the team.I think the books have it close to that, 2/7, getting nervous though.
morning blues, any new info yet?
Where have arsenal improved so much to overtake us? There still 4 players behind us team wise and a couple more squad wise. I think we are great shape when pellers makes his mind up on the vinny dilemma! Especially with kdb to come in and that I'm certain on!
You know what this arguing is like? it's like Ramsey's kitchen nightmares where Ramsey is brought in to improve a restaurant.
He comes in and identifies problem areas, and all of a sudden, the owner keeps arguing that nothing is wrong - in which case, nothing can be improved.
The moment he says the menus isn't right, or the soup tastes crap, the owner gets upset.
It's not moaning to say Fernando might be a weakness and could KdB or Delph give us something he can't. The positive is suggesting ways KdB or Delph might change things, but if you only want to see the negative, you'll focus on the Fernando criticism.
If we bring in KdB - someone else in the team will be moved out. There's no two ways about it. It's two sides of the same coin. KdB is the improvement, so who is the weakness we're fixing?
It really isn't all negative.
I am not, i am not the one swearing and calling people stupid. At least debate and talk instead of swearing and name calling.
Nothing like stating the obvious ehI can't think in terms of a first XI these days, I think the game's changed so much, you have to think of at least 14 equally. Subs seem to be a genuine part of the tactics more than they used to be, and a player coming on for the last 20 minutes is no less a player in my eyes - it's just a strategy to use them in the last 20 minutes with fresh legs, or a calming influence etc.
I think there's an old school train of thought was sees subs are 'inferior' to the first XI, but those days are long gone now. Its a natural perception, but I'm not sure it's a correct one.
That's why I think players like Delph have a hugely significant role to play even if they aren't superstars. To get a great 30 minutes out of someone like Yaya, you might need someone like Delph to take over some of his burden. Or it may be that Delph plays for an hour then Yaya comes on as an impact sub (hypothetical example). Neither work without the other though, and that's what people forget.
The also applies to the likes of Sterling or KdB. People have to stop thinking of them as 90 minute first XI, they are part of the squad, and whilst they might have more ability than others, to BEST use that ability to City's advantage might mean them only playing part of the game.

There really is no rush to get this through. It's going to be a long season with many games played, as long as he's in before the end of the window we should be good to go.
I think you're under rating arsenal there. They haven't bought many, but they didn't need to. They have spent so many years getting a big squad to cope with all their injuries that now they have lots of depth.
They weren't that far away from being contenders last year, just the defence being a bit shaky and the usual injury problems.
Cech seems to have organised the defence and Coquelin seems to be the real deal, so I think they'll be right in the mix for most of the season. Probably gonna crack under the pressure in March, but I think this will be their best season in 5 years.
You think a 20 year old who's never played a second of Premier League football is worth £30m and is better than Demichelis? HahaWorried this isn't going to happen now.

cheers sean, fingers crossed we can get this sorted sooner rather than later.
Get the Dzeko deal done, and then we'll all be anticipating this deal gets done next week. We are assuming of course that Wolfsburg play ball.
I'm still wondering how we can possibly play all our star attacking player in the same team, so if we still have £45m in our wallet in the January window it wont be a disaster.
