de jong to napoli?

For me De Jong was our most important player last season along with Silva. It isn't just his tackling and aggression but the way he plays allows the rest of the team to go out and express themsleves. We miss him so much when he isn't playing, I can't see us selling him but if I'm wrong I will be absolutely devastated.

Not only that, he loves playing football and he loves mcfc and he gets on brilliantly with the fans and has a right laugh with them. Personally thing it's a toss up between him and vinny for the best value for money signing

Hart would be up there too, all part of the spine of the team though imo Hart, Kompany, de Jong,

The emboldened words sum up why he is overrated.

No doubt he is an excellent person and loves to be here, but we shouldn't let that cloud our perception of his footballing ability.

Exactly, this summer shouldn't be about getting a load of players in but adding to the likes of De Jong, Kompany, Hart, Silva, Yaya etc. Towards the end of the season City were playing some cracking stuff and if we sell one of our most important players it will be a major step backwards for me. Keep the spine of the team next season and add some quality here and there and this team could win the league. I'm with De Niro on this, if Nige goes then I'll lose a lot of faith in Mancini. It shouldn't even be contemplated

Stats aren't everything but last season:

WITH NDJ in the Prem: W20 D6 L6 = 66pts at 2.06pts per game

WITHOUT NDJ: W1 D2 L3 = 5pts at 0.83pts per game

Those stats are completely correct - someone created a thread with the difference with and without the majority of our key players. (I will try to find the stats if possible). But the player with the biggest difference in points with in comparison to points against was...........

Resorting to Ad hominem attacks rather than having a reasoned discussion just further sirves to illustrate my point.
