Nigel De Jong is the heartbeat of the team, he breaks up play like noone else in the premier league, and his short passing to set up attacks are excellent; anyway the good news is that Roberto Mancini picks our team, and he well knows that NDJ is 1 of his 3 most valuable players; you know that, I know that, and 95% plus of City's regular fans know that
What i dont get mate, is how these 2 arent happy with De Jong? He is one of the players who should be exempt from criticism. He is the heartbeat of our team in the middle of the park and if De Jong was to go, they would soon realise just how much we miss him.
I don't think they would realise because they don't get to that many City matches - 1 of them gets to 5 a season, the other none. There is noone I know who goes to matches, noone I sit near at home and away matches, who fails to see the value of NDJ; the negatives come from nerds who spend too much time trawling the internet for statistics, but I don't think a manager like Mancini plays someone based on their stats, he plays them for what they do in a match, and that's why he plays De Jong, and thats why he rested hom on the Monday night against the scousers before the semi final, and thats why he admitted after the match that he got it wrong; these know it alls with their stats need to get out a bit more and watch a few more live City matches; as for the comment about De Jong can't tackle, absolutely shagfuckering ridiculous
You accuse me of arrogance, then you come out with that
I don't think anyone said De Jong can't tackle.
