I think burnley is a different side from chelsea and he was awesome in both games against them

Stop and read what i wrote for 1 second. I said he is effective in certain games by that i guessed people would know i ment games like Chelsea, Ushited and arsenal where we need to stiffle the midfield and turn it into a war, but in other games he slowes us down too much and only passes backwards

If your argument is 2 games this season then its flawed as a season is up to 60 games long

your argument is on 2 games so is mine so i suggest you read your own post first

Well i can only use the games he hasnt played in, which isnt very many, maybe up to 4 games all season

Look i have just told you already that i can only base my argument on 4 games maximum as thats about the amount de jong hasnt played in

So i based what i said off 2 games, its not just me that thinks it.

he played about the same amount of time on sat as he did v wolves and pompy at the start of the season when he wasnt gettin into the team yes we still won but not convincingly two 1 nil wins

stoke and west ham at home he played the full game and we won well "enough"

Its because he doesn't have to get involved in shit games like he does against chelsea. When we play bolton they haven't exactly got a frank lampard trying to dominate the midfield have they? No, so he therefore doesn't have to do his main job tackling and breaking up play. He does however have to turn into a creative midfielder which is not his strongest point as he is told to watch the back 4. If we get someone like arteta, for example, to play alongside him in the middle he can do his job in defending and let his midfield partner do his job which is attacking. De jong is our best defensive mid but we haven't got a good creative midfielder to complinent him only barry and vieira

As far as im aware when he plays he normally does the full 90, very little substituted.

We were lucky in the west ham game, score line hides the story of that match

we won the whu game handy enough

3=1 with plenty of chances

its only my opinion but maybe its because he used with 1 or 2 other defensive midfilder rather than with attacking one's

he's the best at what he does at the club and everyone needs a holding player
