I told you to re read my post at the start because i said that he is useful in certain games

As far as im aware when he plays he normally does the full 90, very little substituted.

We were lucky in the west ham game, score line hides the story of that match

Im also aware that basing what i said on the Burnley game is very weak as they were shite but i have always thought that de jong is a weak link, like i said he slows us down and takes us backwards with his play, if he could be 20% less negative it would help.

we won the whu game handy enough

3=1 with plenty of chances

its only my opinion but maybe its because he used with 1 or 2 other defensive midfilder rather than with attacking one's

he's the best at what he does at the club and everyone needs a holding player

Hides the fact they hade a perfectly good equaliser not given, not that it matters we still won

I think we all agree 3 DM's in the midfield stops everything , but thats what mancini been left with and ireland is pants at mo

He could offer a bit more going forward as according to people he used to be a winger and stiker

Whilst I agree with the overall sentiment of your post, there are games where NdJ is valuable.

Going forward though, I'd favour a midfield set-up where every player is comfortable on the ball.

Barry attempts passes of more than 5 yards ,though.

de-jong is actually technically a very poor tackler, thats why he is always sliding in late and going to ground too easily, rendering himself out of the game .

cant really remember a disallowed oal for them i thought their goal wich made it 1 1 was about their only decent chance


maybe this whole argument is why ndj never made it as a winger or striker

then you could argue that ndj is tackling because barry is trying too hard a pass and giving the ball away

a 5 yard pass to a blue shirt is better than a forward pass to the opposition
