Like many others have said, the De Rossi press conference just did not sit right. He said the last thing De Rossi wants is to look the villain, so announcing he is to sign for City during the press conference was never going to happen.

He said if we were to add 5m on to our original offer, the deal might just go through.

Ohhh shit! This de rossi transfer is the one transfer which is like pulling teeth with a pair of pliers and some alcohol - slow, painful, inevitable and ends one way .... badly.
 
Coming into the busy period of our transfer window... I think we'll sign him especially considering how many goals we're conceding lately (Chelsea 2, Southampton 2, Liverpool 2). That's not great considering out last seasons defensive performance. DeRossi and a pretty good Defender will sort us out...

We have left it far too late as Roma will want time to sign any replacements. He was being respectful to us in his press conference.
