Cant see this happening TBH , he's Roma through and through which I admire. If he comes it will be for money only. Reminds of the David Silvas deal and his relationship with Valencia.

Did de rossi actually point blank refuse us in his press conference ? A mate said that he actually said that if Roma needed the money and or taking a monster bid would benefit club hugely then he would part ways on their request only ?

Is that about right?

Yes.

It would make sense to fly him to London, a little less suspicious and he would go under the radar perhaps if he went to our offices there.

If he came Manchester, it probably wouldn't change. The whole layout from the runway for 'special arrivals' has changed now, there is another exit and the person doesn't even enter the terminals now.

Flight AZ 202
date 29 August 2012 Rome, Fiumicino London, Heathrow

Scheduled time 9:30 AM 11:25 AM
Actual Time 9:30 AM 11:25 AM

...this is why I love this final week of the transfer window so much.

You can go from being dicked around by Swansea over Scott Sinclair.... to dreaming of Daniele de Rossi (+ his entourage) being escorted through Heathrow en route to signing for City....in the blink of an eye.

Just one question before i spend my morning tracking flights etc, didn't De Rossi also say that if he was to leave Roma he would let the fans know himself ? I could have got it wrong as I didn't see the interview just seem to think i read that on here. If so does it not make it a little unlikely he will be sneaking off to London in the morning to sign for us? lord knows I hope it's true though, man is immense ..

Still find it odd that we'd leave it this late.

sometimes when you have have less time, things happen quicker. It's an excuse to get business done, knowing you have such a short space of time.

No stalling or messing about. It's a little bit more straight forward, it's not easy by any means. But everything get's done quicker, basically because it has to.

Robinho for example, that was done in 6-7 hours. It wouldn't probably get done in 6 weeks, if we started it in the middle of the window.
