De Rossi (again)

no deal of this nature would happen without the Italian press getting wind of it. If it had any substance to it then they would still be running front page exclusives in their papers about it. Roma would ensure their press at least briefed the fans to prepare them for the worst. They did so when our interest was concrete and there appeared to be an offer on the table to De Rossi, but since his press conference not a single Italian news outlet to my knowledge has ran this story. If they doubted a single word De Rossi said, or thought Roma were prepared to cash in regardless, they would be all over it.

No player of this stature leaves Italy these days without days & weeks of speculation before hand.

The speculation has happened though, it was done to death in the papers weeks ago. There is no real concrete rumours going around which could be looked as a good thing as City and Roma will want this kept quiet.

Plus, there has been a little talk over the confusion in with De Rossi actually discussed reasons for if he was to leave Roma in his press conference throughout England and Italy from relative journalists etc, not much though I must add. People forget to remember that De Rossi's press conference was not primarily to discuss his future, he does it on a yearly basis to talk about the season ahead.

Lets say his agent was in England today to discuss De Rossi with City. Who is to say Daniele won't come out tomorrow or Friday to announce he is leaving.

I personally believe this is going to be a deadline day deal if it is to happen.

Like De Rossi pretty much said in his press conference, it won't be him deciding his future, it will be the club, and if the club feel they have a very good offer which cannot really be turned down then I can imagine Roma talking to De Rossi about a possible transfer.

Shouldn't matter if he does. Mancini clearly does and as does every other sane person in the world.

Unless Marwood really does have that much control over transfers and is personally putting certain offers in the bin.

To help, if anyone says so and so is on a plane, it's a wind up pure and simple, it harks back to the WUMS of old

If anyone says they have seen a target player in a shop, cafe, supermarket etc, it's a wind up
