Barry, Milner, & Razak.

Or maybe Nasri as a CM !
None of them are deep lying playmakers which is the reason we're after De Rossi

I thought Barry did well last season playing beside Yaya

He protected the back 4 well

Linked up the play, kept the ball well and was able to play the " pass & move " game with the 3 other midfielders ( Silva,NAsri & Yaya ).

Milner won the best young player award when he played as a CM for Aston Villa, and I think it is too early to write him off as not good enough CM.
So why are we after De Rossi then? We need someone who will do those Scholes type passes but also protect our back 4 and give Yaya the licence to go forward. Barry is great in the prem but was shown up in Europe, we need an upgrade he will still be a great squad player though. And when Yaya goes to Afica do you want a midfield two of Rodwell/De Jong and Barry?

aside from the racism in Mancio's post, there are plenty of examples, one of whom is the best player on this very team

mine is NOT racism. i love black and african players , its just that african players lack the basis of tactic (the ones you get in a good football accademy) in the decisive phase of their development
Former World Player of the Year, ex Milan & Manchester City player George Weah?

Dude when you're in a hole its best to stop digging!

wich was the tactical side of weah game ?

Mancio, what about Viera, YaYa, Kuffour, Oliseh, Kanu, Bernabia, Zakora etc etc

vieira has grown in france since he was 8
yaya isn't that good as DM. he's never been a true DM before going at barca and he lose his place to an average player like busquet becouse of his lack of tactical discipline
kanu a striker
the others just above average players , and surely not that tactical disciplined like a DM-deep playmaker have to be.

wouldn't it have made more sense to go for cazorla for £9m, which would give us a different attacking option, than spending £25m plus on someone that isn't fit to lick DDR's boots?

Tiote, M'villa are not a step up from what we already have

Ohhh so yaya isn't "disciplined" enough now ? You just keep digging that hole deeper . Give it a rest and stop trying to back that silly clueless comment you made about African players lacking tactical discipline (whatever that is)
