He has a groin problem he is trying to manage;
Mourihno seems to have a greater attraction than City;
He is fed up with speculation and wants it resolved asap;
He wants to win trophies before he retires, (idealy at Roma);
he has a very strong love for Roma and feels their coach Luis Enrique understands him the most.
City and Real are offering more money than Roma.

The longer this goes on the more I think he's going to be a City player. The way I see it, neither Roma nor De Rossi are going to significantly move on their offer/demands at this point. I think he's waiting for us to make a concrete offer (which depends on Tevez leaving) and that's why most of his comments have been of a 'stalling' nature recently.

Mancini may want him to lead the team for the next few years & that's fair enough but if he's injured I'd rather he finished the season in Rome & came over here in the summer, than come over & break down in the middle of our title run-in.

The middle article from flb said that we (and Real) had certainly made "an offer". I dont know if it needs fleshing out more?

This was my biggest concern. Kun has the same niggling injury, (as had Steven Gerrard), they are very difficult to diagnose and treat.

Yeah but 'an offer' can be ambiguous. We've set our terms out to De Rossi? Made an informal offer to Roma? A formal bid? My guess is that whatever else we've done, we haven't done the latter because we want to know Tevez is firmly on the way out first.
