Media source?
He said he will tell his fans first when he's made his decision.
Very confused, are you saying he has told some fans and one of these has passed it to our forum somehow?
No. When he's made his decision on whether to move or stay, you will hear it from him.

Too bad i was soo hoping for this one to happen.. :(

Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi's contract extension hinging on exit clause - report

The Italy international is allegedly open to signing a new deal with the Giallorossi, but insists on the inclusion of a minimum fee release clause in the contract

Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi's contract extension depends on the Serie A side's willingness to include a minimum fee release clause in the Italy international's new deal, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

De Rossi's current agreement with the Giallorossi is due to expire at the end of the season, and both parties have long been in talks about a new contract.

A recent report suggested that Roma had made a final offer of €6 million per year for the next five seasons, but negotiations have not led to a new deal just yet.

Roma director Franco Baldini allegedly met with De Rossi's agent Sergio Berti last week to discuss a new contract, and the biggest talking point is believed to be the height of a minimum fee release clause.

The midfielder reportedly insists on having the option to move on for a set fee in case the Giallorossi fail to qualify for the Champions League over the next few seasons.

Clubs such as Real Madrid, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are closely monitoring the 28-year-old's situation at the Stadio Olimpico.

To be honest, I'm not really upset with this.

I'm pretty sure the deal was never going to be made and that he mostly used the fact we want him for pressure on Roma to give him the better deal.

If we're his last option, then I certainly won't cry for him. The fact that he is 28 and carrying the tricky injury helps me to not be crazy about his coming. Maybe it's better to sign someone younger.

Next please..

A bit short sighted of him, I think, at 28 he needs to move to CL club now and one that should be competing each year in the competition.

If Roma go into a rebuilding phase it's going to take 2-3 years although the italians seem to like their 36 year old midfielders.

Regardless, very few (if any) teams are going to be in for him with big money offers when he is on the wrong side of 30.

Still, it's his decision if he stays and I suppose you can't knock a player for wanting to finish his career with his boyhood club. Very few achieve that and it has to be admired, I'm sure he won't be short of a bob or two if he stays also.
