Or allow him to actually rest Yaya. From what ive seen he seems like a great player and my only concern is that he ends up missing Rome, we as fans will have to put extra effort into making him feel welcome and loved, then i'm sure we'll see the fantastic player he can be.

IMO he is better than everything we have, even marginally better than Yaya even if he hasn't played in Champions League finals and won league titles (only because of his loyalty to Roma, ala Gerrard at Liverpool) like Yaya has. Settling in and avoiding homesickness would be the biggest fear for De Rossi, as he is tailor made for our league. A sublime footballer, a huge coup if we get him.
