De jong is a great individual and a very good player at what he does. However like many on here I agree he is very limited and someone like De Rossi would offer us so much more than both de jong and Barry.

To be honest the prospect of Yaya and De rossi in midfield together is a mouthwatering prospect.

His stock has raised since being with us, no doubt. He knows that and that is why he is making all the right noises about wanting to stay with us whilst at the same time refusing to sign a 110k plus a week contract extension. He would rather run down his contract and get a large signing on fee. I dont agree at alll that he is a great individual or a very good player. Just very lucky in the position in which he finds himself.

I spoke to Tolmie a few days ago in the too quiet thread. He said people need to forget about De Rossi.

Who fucking cares?

He isn't in charge of our transfers. Mancini clearly wants him and if a sudden circumstance happens in which he can sign him will it not happen because Tolmie says it won't? No. The guy is clearly connected but people need to remember he has no say on sudden opportunities that may arise.

Beat me to the punch, mate.

In my own little KFA world I'm "cautiouslly optimistic" that he is a target.

Whether he comes is a different matter and Martinez would be a very nice second choice :-)

I was on ragcafe where i read that some of their fans rate carrick more than de rossi and cosider him a more complete player , i mean, are they really that delusioned? Is it some kind of disorder they are suffering from which they feel every player wearing their shirt becomes better than anyone in their respective position

"are they really that deluded? Yes

Well to be fair, Carrick's combined best 90 minutes probably excels De Rossi's worst 90, so they are right.

What? You clearly understand that Tolmie is JUST a messenger to us. We clearly understand that Tolmie has no authority on the transfers.

I believe what Tolmie meant was that we weren't interested in De Rossi, so people should probably stop saying like we are gonna sign De Rossi. If we were ever interested in that man, Tolmie would be one of the first to know.

And sometimes he has to be allowed to post his own opinions without people regarding them as inside info. He's a City fan like the rest of us don't forget.
