Completely bored with the subject, more exciting seeing the thread smash 500 pages, which it will do easily. I think Sane could stop the rumour at anytime. He's losing support from the fans by keeping schtum.

Yipp, just like Pep and/or Sane, the fans can get it wrong as well..

Bit difficult for Pep to downplay after spending a year telling anyone that'll listen the shield is a trophy.

True. And I expect him to reiterate that he wants to win the match. But I still expect him to point out that some of the players have only just returned, players are not 100% and he's picking players based on their physical condition (ie the same caveats that he made before last season's Community Shield).

The acid test will be the intensity of the game. I dont think it will be anything comparable to the intensity that characterised the two PL fixtures last season.

Pep (and klopp) will want to win the game, but in the context of it being pre season and the constraints that come with that. He will not take any risks with players who aren't ready, and I expect we'll see a slow paced game, especially if its warm.

They've already alluded to paying whatever it takes to get him over the line. Their issue right now is that Sane hasn't told them he wants to join Bayern. Until that happens, nothing will.

Maybe because he doesn't believe they will pony up. If he says I want to go, they put £60mil down and City say fuck-off, he is then in a very difficult position. Sane is a £80mil - £100mil player at this stage. The £ being in its boots may help Bayern but I don't think it will help that much

Bayern do not have a track record of paying that sort of money. £60mil is more their market, that s why I can see it being good for everyone for this to happen in 12 months
