When the scousers sold Saurez and Coutinho for big money when Barceloan and Madrid were sniffing around they got them to sign a new contract with the promise to sell them if those clubs offer the asking price! If it's linked to his wages it'll be small, a couple of million, but I think sometimes it's linked to a % of the sale price so City would definitely want that gone if possible.

That doesn't mean he'd have the same opinion in 2021.
