It was reported up to 300k a week, pure guesswork but his base will be near 200k.

Sane was never staying unless we topped Bayern’s offer, Sterling’s contract is irrelevant.

I'm not sure that had City matched Bayern's offer it would've made any difference. And by the sounds of things they were in his ear from that first summer.

Very sad day. How many players can scare the shit out of the opposition if they have a yard or 2 of space half way inside our own half?
How many? KDB can and Leroy. They know and fear he can run right through them. They know KDB can run and pass through them but Sane can kill them with his skill and pace.
People are talking that he's inconsistent - well he's young still and nowhere near his peak so that's a bit harsh.
He's gone for the best we could get in the circumstances but the big injury did for us as Did Bayern's wanker tactics and his advisors.
I'm happy to put him in with Gio, Tueart, Barnes and Beagrie as the best dribblers I've had the pleasure of watching.
Hope he goes on to fulfill his talent

To reply to your edits - It's incredibly vain to tattoo yourself on yourself, and also, don't pretend like he was serious about it or planned it.

Anyone who has seen the awful quality of that tattoo knows he didn't spend time on planning it. He didn't take the time to find a great tattoo artist who specialises in drawing people.

This is a guy worth millions, he could have gotten a proper tattoo artist who wouldn't have given him a twiglet for a leg and a face so bad you'd be forgiven for not recognising him.

He should have given Otamendi's tattoo artist a call. His tattoos might be unusual, but at least they look like the people they are.

Not a fan of tattoo's tbh but those that Otamendi has are top class, very talented whoever did those.

Leroy's look like it was done by an amateur in comparison.

Whether you liked Sane or not, he us no longer a city player and wasn't here long enough or played enough to become a city legend in the 3 full years he played for us.

A great talent but will be remembed in the same vein as many attackers we have had over the years, unlike this periods silva, kompany, zaba nd aguero who will be truly legendary in pur memory

Thanks for the time given but about as fussed about this as when Peter Beagrie left
Fernandinho, Yaya also added to that list imo.

Agreed. We would get Ben Mee back for a lot less. Top no nonsense defender who is never injured. We don't need a fancy fan. Laporte can do both. Or Thiago Silva for a years contract. He's on a free I think.

De Ligt has struggled a little since joining Juve , i think if Pep coached him he would make a great defender but that gets me thinking about Garcia he has always impressed me when he plays , he just lacks some height/physical presence but a back three of Garcia ,De Ligt , Laporte would be an impressive defensive line up , although three at the back isnt Pep's usual tactic

Exactly, people forget he’s a German national joining the biggest club in Germany with an almost guaranteed title every year.

It’s a bit like an English player leaving Atletico after they won the league for a dominant English club, as well as earning double what Atletico were offering. In that scenario every single person on here would see it as a no brainer.

Pep clearly had personality issues with him.

We didn’t give him decent money fast enough, that’s on the club who should have tied him down far faster.

He was a massive reason for our recent success but was clearly not loved by Pep like Raz or Bernardo.

Shock horror - manager rates some players more than others .

If we'd have offered Sané a proper salary 18 months ago before Bayern and the 385k was even on the radar he'd have signed.

It's irrelevant now, he's gone. The deal NOW isn't too bad in the circumstances but getting to this situation is the problem. There would be 15 clubs in europe willing to pay him 300k a week right now so if you want to try to offer half of what other clubs will pay then let's see where that gets us.
