Death

The only thing about death that bothers me is it will come to my dog most likely before myself. When that day comes i don't know what i will do. He is still in fine fettle at 10yo and i hope beyond hope he stays that way forever.

As for myself, not to arsed to be honest.

Wonder if he's had the same conversation in his little head worrying about if you pop your clogs before him?

I mean, none of that is true mate haha.

The Gospels were written between 66AD and 110AD.

Scholars think Matthew could have been written less than 30 years after the crucifixion.

The Old Testament is one great yarn I agree, it’s tricky to make sense out of large parts of it but it’s interesting nonetheless.

Well the archeology is contested but they’ve got a pretty good idea where the crucifixion took place and a theory where the tomb was.

For the record there’s more evidence for Jesus of Nazareth than many historical figures of the ancient world that people don’t question existed, because well they’re not as important to life if they didn’t.

I am absolutely certain the man existed from everything I’ve seen and I spent a bit of time trying to prove otherwise to my mate, who’s a Priest.

Pics or GTFO.

;)

I dont believe at all. would be great though to be able to watch over my wife and kids. not going to happen but its a nice thought. its like "oh at least they are together again " bullshit. no they're not.
That's your belief Bill, and I have no problem with you or anyone believing there isn't an afterlife. No on can prove or disprove either way.

A friend of mine works in a nursing home. He was handing out cups of tea and said to one old guy "do you want a biccie with that"? The man said yes please, Kev came back with one and bang he'd gone. That would do me. Mind you I'd preferred to finish the biscuit first.
That’s the way the cookie crumbles

Surely if someone is asking people to believe in something supernatural or scientifically impossible the onus is on them to prove it.

Don’t fear death. It’s going to happen to us all eventually so no point worrying about it.

As for an afterlife. There’s nothing, just like before we were born. I do believe in hundreds if not thousands of years time, people or whatever they choose to identify as by then will look back on religion and religious beliefs like an afterlife almost as a plague on the species. We will be considered as primitive to them as cavemen before discovering fire are to us and the main laughing point will be our religious beliefs as well as Manchester United.

I’m more scared of the way I might die. Will it be really painful and drawn out....

I do believe in some kind of afterlife as well
