If he was that suspect he wouldn't of gotten a sniff against Bournemouth and Bristol City. As for playing against a top side he has next season to have a real crack and the way Pep was talking there is a chance he could still play a part this time around.
Philips came on when we were 4 nil up and it ended 4-1, he also played in the cup against a mid table Championship side, personally I would be surprised if he was still here next season. He looks uncomfortable with the way we play.

He played 35 minutes ready for the Cup game and Pep seems happy enough despite his earlier weight issuses

Off the boil?

Nah just showing his true level England's weakest link is without a doubt Declan Rice as an Englishman I really was I was wrong, it's just England are so bad in that position he stands out as our best despite being bang average mid table quality... John Stones could genuinely do a better job there and if Rice was French nobody of note would be after him.

When Casemiro came on Declan Rice shrank that much he barely existed at all not that he showed owt before, the difference in quality between both though is beyond laughable and could never ever be bridged, honestly I'll be absolutely miffed if we sign this total charlatan he's the sort of player I'd laugh at the rags signing, he's a poor man's Javi Garcia who was actually effective when we won the title in 2014... That's despite the slating he took but Garcia even if inferior at certain attributes than rice, was much better positionally made himself more available for a pass and was intelligent Rice isn't tactically aware enough.

I honestly think Casemiro at 35 could still be better than Rice is ever capable of becoming, I'm certainly not trying to big up a rag just saying it how it is Rice isn't good enough.
