I probably should have just said no but I was just saying that obviously now we’d say Rodri all day long but if we’d have bought Rice and Rodri was elsewhere it would likely be the other way around. Pep’s coaching and the fact that we as a unit are great are also significant factors. I an glad we have Rodri though

I'm sure that there'll be people who would do the swap. If you look at the level of invective that has been aimed at Rodri since he joined, then he's probably only behind Gundo/Sterling in terms of being unpopular.

There was a couple times Rodri really annoyed me but I think that was just everything going wrong last year. Rodri was just one of those players I really liked on arrival and so I wouldn’t swap him for anyone apart from a de-aged Fernandinho.

The overwhelmingly vast majority of people in the TF are passing opinions on players they’ve barely seen play. Easy to make a mistake there or speak from only limited knowledge.

But so called City “supporters” who are supposed to watch the team regularly, trashing key components of the greatest team we’ve ever had is à tragicomedy worthy of its own film.

If I was tasked with compiling a scouting report on a transfer target I’d definitely nip on here to read the thread for a laugh. Declan Rice will sign for a top Champions League level club (apologies to our resident Hammer) for a huge transfer fee within the next couple of years.
