Declan Rice

I’m not sure about Rice. He isn’t good enough for the first eleven and too good to sit on the bench or do league cups (same for Saka - budget Sterling at his age). Can’t see us interested in Mac Allister, not at our level as a replacement for Silva/ Gundogan.

I would have liked Bellingham but seems unlikely. Have to trust in City’s recruitment team, done ok so far, except for Phillips obviously.

Next to Rodri

& Stones will be back to CB

He is good enough for the first 11, he's just not better than Rodri who he would probably be competing for a place with. But if Rodri was injured for a season, Rice would more than hold his own in our team.
Fair comment

Think if Rice had the opportunity to go to Bayern he should take it. Great chance to win silverware every year in a great squad, don’t think anything would be guaranteed if he joined arsenal.

The apparent lure of playing for Bayern or PSG because they are ridiculously strong relative to the rest of their league and thus winning it is a piece of piss is such a weak argument as a rationale to join them.

They have a better chance at the champions league than arsenal will have. Don’t think he will be bothered because he would end up being one of the most decorated Englishmen because if he joined Bayern. Nothing is guaranteed if he joins arsenal.

Players want to win trophies and play for elite clubs. PSG and Bayern tick both of those boxes.

Arsenal don't tick either.

What im saying is, if you join Bayern because its 'guaranteed trophies', then your mindset is all wrong.

But the definition of an elite club is always changing, and this occurs because of player movements.

Why did Aguero join Man City? What was so elite about City in 2011?

You would think with your history you would be more open to players spurning the chance to join 'elite clubs'. Anyways, its not like Arsenal are not one of the most famous names in English football
