Declan Rice

There seems to a weird trend of Arsenal fans coming to this forum to try to convince us about how good or ambitious they are. First it was about how their first half season form was no fluke. And that they were the real deal. Now it's about how much signings (or Declan Rice) wants to join them, and how ambitious they are going to be in the transfer market.

Is this an Arsenal thing?

They’ve nicked it from the dippers who were like this when they thought they were the best of the rest for a bit.

I’m not sure about Rice. He isn’t good enough for the first eleven and too good to sit on the bench or do league cups (same for Saka - budget Sterling at his age). Can’t see us interested in Mac Allister, not at our level as a replacement for Silva/ Gundogan.

I would have liked Bellingham but seems unlikely. Have to trust in City’s recruitment team, done ok so far, except for Phillips obviously.

He is good enough for the first 11, he's just not better than Rodri who he would probably be competing for a place with. But if Rodri was injured for a season, Rice would more than hold his own in our team.
