Declan Rice

He's not for me and I've never seen him have a game where I thought he could be MOTM. He wouldn't replace Rodri and to be honest, Stones looks like he's able to play a defensive midfield role easily.

The only way I think this would have legs is if we offered them Phillips and, from what I've read somewhere, Cole Palmer. Personally I just think there's better value and better players elsewhere.
Stones misses 10-15 games a season with injury though, Rice covers and can start in alot of the roles in that defensive 5 if Phillips isnt trusted too.

I just don't see him as a £100m player though and if everyone is fit, he doesn't play. I'm not saying he's a bad player, he clearly isn't, but he's just not good enough and doesn't seem to have the potential to compete with Rodri.

When Phillips and Rice played for England, I thought Phillips looked the better player. When I've seen WHU play he's never stood out to me as an exceptional player.

I dont see 100m but prices are all over the place in the market. Ive started ignoring them and going straight to the attributes he brings and who/where benefits in the squad.

Although he plays as DM for West Ham, I think he's more than that, more a box to box type.

Whilst he could fill in the Rodri role, I suspect he'd be more likely to play alongside him like Gundogan, Bernardo or even KdB have done. He's clearly not them in terms of ability, but then neither is Bellingham and I'm not sure who there would be that would be a direct replacement for what we've had. As we've seen, even within the season, Pep likes to evolve the way we play and Bellingham would clearly require a change to the system, in which case Rice could be an alternative for Bellingham and whatever role Pep saw him playing. I'd be happy with either.

I've not seen enough of any non City players to know (I gave up watching other teams because I didn't have the time as much anymore plus they were generally awful games anyway) ...but I'd love if we signed Rice. Just don't ask me why?

Watch him,for the full 90 mins,on Wednesday night in the final, that goes for anyone else who is talking nonsense.

I don't think we need him, but anyone that thinks Rice is less than excellent is deluding themselves. He's amazing, and would be even better with us.

Was about to write this. 100%

Hes a brilliant player and will be everywhere on wednesday night. Expect him to be the best player on the pitch.

For me he is very similar to bellingham but with slightly more composure/control and slightly less creativity/threat. Id back pep and the coaches to push him into an incredible player
