This has got to be on now then! Loose Phillips and gundo and gain rice. Can't say I'm buzzing about loosing ilkay but I think rice is would excel under pep and is more versatile than many think. How we replace gundos pausa, close control and clutch goals god only knows but I trust in pep

It is true. It is very true. I mentioned it the other day, footballers are people too. Thier homelife is a factor in decisions to move clubs.

When people say 'If City want him, its done', I always imagine a bunch of movers letting themselves into the Rice household and start packing up their belongings, and Declan and his missus come out of bed bemused wondering whats going on. "City have bid for you Declan, its done, pack up your life and your 6 months old son, your moving to Manchester".

I mean cmon, at the end of the day football is his day job and his family come first.
And peps going to tell him to come to city and win loads of trophies and that's what you want in your career

This makes no sense to me. Would cost around 100m (potentially Phillips + cash) and wouldn’t strengthen us particularly IMO. Sure he’s a good player, but don’t see the need for him at all.

Not good enough to play further up the pitch as one of the no 8s, so I’d assume he would play as one of the 2 DMs in the 3-2 defensive shape. We already have Rodri, Stones, Phillips, Kovacic, Rico, Gomez and potentially Perrone/Gvardiol to play in front of the back 3. Don’t think we’d be interested if he wasn’t English

Nothing concrete around Rice to City but I’d imagine that will change shortly, if they are indeed wanting him.

Haha fuck off soft lad. People move fixture away for jobs paying £50k per year. Let alone to work with the best manager in the world and play in the best team in the world.

Ps, Alderly Edge is a great deal nicer and less stabby than anywhere in London.
The way people talk about Rice not entertaining leaving London, like he’s rolling around Mayfair all day eating at the finest restaurants and having a stroll through St James Park.

He spends most of his days at West Ham’s trading ground, which is in Chadwell Heath, Romford. His family all come from Kingston, which is almost exactly the opposite side of London, and could easily take a couple of hours to travel to from Romford.

If he’s living somewhere like Chigwell then he might not have to move house if he joined Arsenal, but I doubt he’d be too concerned about living in a nicer area around Alderley, playing for the European champions.

Especially if Gvardiol/Ake occasionally play as a left-sided Stones to fit all the CBs in.
